Because I'm Twelve

Thursday, October 22, 2009
Remember when I said I probably wouldn't have as much time to think up content as I used to due to the commitments of my new job? Yeah, today I'm calling in that chip.

I love the show "Glee." I love the stories, I love the music. I realize that makes me resemble a twelve year old girl, and you know what? I don't care. The show is charming and sweet, and I have a soft spot for choral music that this show touches.

This clip is from episode 4, where the high school football team, who couldn't win if their opponents were from an old folks home, decide to try a more unorthodox approach. Their new kicker is a young gay man from the Glee Club who has had trouble telling his father about his sexuality, and uses the music of Beyonce to help him achieve a spot on the team. Because he's successful, he convinces the rest of the team to give it a whirl, too.

My love for this show knows no bounds, and if that makes me 12, then so be it.

"Dad, I'm gay."

"I know. I've known it since you were 7 and all you wanted for your birthday was a pair of sensible heels."

Hee.

I have never heard of this show. Not even a hint.

But if that video clip was any indication of what it's like, I have got to see it. Thanks, Janiece. That rocked.

That was GREAT! I also haven't ever heard of this show, but I suspect that I'll be watching a whole bunch soon enough. Something to do while I'm laid up...

I have never watched it but think I might need to check it out. Unfortunately the clip kept stalling out - gotta love Comcast at prime time - but sounds FUN. And I need some FUN.

I, too, am a 12 year old girl.

Line delivered to Kristen Chenoweth: "I want you in the Glee Club. We're gonna get you sober. And some underwear."

And Joss Whedon is going to direct an episode.

Squeeeee!

Nathan - Joss Whedon? Squee! indeed.

It's on Wednesdays on Fox, for those who haven't seen it. They're on a break until after the World Series, I believe, but that will give you a chance to catch up via Hulu.

Jane Lynch plays the bitchy cheerleading coach and (aside from the musical numbers) simply steals the show.

I have been a GLee lover from the beginning. If Glee was a boy I would take it out and buy it dinner and bring it back to my place and...um....you get the idea.

Nathan, I loved that episode, and THAT line made me spray milk outta my nose.

And double Squeeee! at Joss Whedon!

huh...and here I've been switching over to something else at 9:00 every Wednesday. Sounds like I will have to check it out when it comes back from the World Series break.
