Yeah, that's pretty much how I see it, too. Too bad you've now lost your job for speaking truth to power.

My hope is that the sentiments expressed in that post will catch on. I think there are many other slightly right leaning centrists (like myself) who saw the Republican party move dramatically to the fringe during the Clinton and Bush administrations. We had no other moral choice but to disassociate ourselves from the party and its aims. Mind you, I'm not holding my breath . . . The points he makes about the aims of the conservative media being opposed to those of the conservative movement are dead on. My fear is that demagoguery will be the rule of the day on the right for some time to come.
