Other Fish to Fry

Thursday, February 23, 2012
I'm taking the rest of the week off to spend some time with the Smart Sailor. I'm sure you'll understand my lack of original and pithy content until he leaves.

Of course, even if you don't, it's pretty certain that I'm not going to care much - I haven't seen my son in over a year, and his next stop is half-way around the world. Priorities. I have some.

Have a nice week, Hot Chicks and Smart Men.

You're leaving your faithful audience to tend to themselves?

How very Mother of you.

Have a good week

Warner, you're just jealous because I have the cookies.

;)

I worked for the Census in 2010, shortly after I started my boss suggested we bring things like cookies for group morale

Mentioned this to my wife, who baked a batch of lemon coconut, and the next week pumpkin and for the 28 weeks following. http://menu.vldyson.com/2010/08/24/august-23-2010--cookie-of-the-week.aspx

She became known as Ms Cookie

Warner, that link is just a tease.

There are no actually cookies there, no are there recipes for cookies.

ACTUAL virtual cookies are better than cookie TAUNTING.

(spills crumbs on Janiece's carpet)

Wait. What is an actual virtual cookie? I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Random Michelle K said...

It TOTALLY means what I think it means!

I holding this virtual cookie in my hot little virtual hand, and nomming it down.

NOM NOM NOM!

Am I going to virtually gain weight from this virtual cookies and milk indulgence?

Random Michelle K said...

Of course not!

Virtual cookies are actually quite slimming.

I would come in in the morning, I worked 11:30-8:00, on Mondays with cookies and would be followed from the front door to the break
room

Somebody took up a collection and bought my wife a large flowering plant.

I probably have oreos in the pantry as I use them for cheesecake crust.

Random Michelle K said...

No Warner, OREOS

Those are certainly an improvement on the store version.

Fortunately I have no real sweet tooth, ice cream does not count, which considering what I eat is very good. I would weigh a lot more

I wanted coconut gelato the other day and the store didn't carry it anymore. WTF - salted caramel was an inadequate substitute, since I"m not a caramel fan.

Maybe I need to make something coconutty.

My new favorite is Arctic Zone Chocolate Peanut Butter frozen dessert, for 150 calories a pint, no dairy, no wheat, and it has whey protein, too.

But don't get the cookies and cream - it's grey.

Jeri said...

Thanks for the pointer! I am opposed to translucent grey foods. It's why I don't use skim milk or fat free half and half in my coffee.

I'm also opposed to violently blue food. Artificially blue food. But that's just a little idiosyncrasy of mine. ;) I'd be skinnier if hollandaise sauce and macaroni and cheese were blue.

Macaroni and bleu cheese is blue. Or blueish. But not violently blue.
