  4. Working and living on a farm, I have been in your spot many times. I believe the greatest honor we have in our lives as pet caretakers is letting them live, and leave, their lives with happiness and dignity. Hugs to you and your family as you struggle in this difficult time.

  8. Group hug. Will always remember his button eyes and how he loved to wipe his wet beard on me after a cold drink...

  12. Thank you all for the sympathy wishes. We had 11 great years of his antics and unconditional love. I can only hope that we enriched his life as much as he enriched ours.

    Thank you all again,
    Terry Comer (aka Janiece's SmartMan)

  15. My heart breaks for all of you, Boogie was such a great part of your lives. I have no answer to why we outlive them, I only know that we usually do. The love continues and our hearts will always break at every thought of them, our dear and beloved animal companions. Boogie was so very loved and enjoyed a life so well loved, he loved you like that too. Still, and all, my heart is breaking for you all tonight.Good dog, good life, good love. Great saddness.

  23. I'm so sorry for your loss. The grief will ease over time, but you'll always remember him and he'll remain part of your life, even if you get and love another dog.

    Ask me how I know.

  24. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dogs are companions in a way that humans can't be. I believe that to have such a relationship is a great accomplishment in this life. I am sure that Boogie cherished his relationship and life with you.

Take care of yourself and family and know that you are in our thoughts.
