I prefer to think of it as "more insane."
I quit calling myself a Democrat long ago because I didn't like the way the party engages in politics. I can't even *imagine* what it's like to be a Republican nowadays. (I don't know any self-proclaimed Tea Partiers, so I will have to generalize and say I don't think most of them even realize what their party truly espouses.)
On the bright side, I did notice that something put out by Palin's media machine did have a snide remark about the Republican response to the AZ tragedy. I do not mind at all a split there!
