The Weekly List - Why my Life is Awesome

Saturday, June 15, 2013
1. I'm not Theon Greyjoy.

2. I have friends that think my decision to "bedazzle" my MLB hat to designate ballparks where I've seen a game live does not make me white trash.

3. This week I was a good friend to someone I care about.

4. The Hot Chicks and Smart Men Dig Reading Summer Reading Program begins in just 7 days.

5. I have friends and family that "get" me. And they still love me.

6. I live in a world that contains soft carnitas tacos. With avocados.

7. This week I got to perform ACTUAL ENGINEERING WORK. For MONEY.

8. I was reminded that each of us has the power to affect the lives of others, for good or for ill.

9. I'm finally caught up on my podcasts.

10. Starting tomorrow, I get to wear Fluevogs every day for four days in a row.

It's always pleasing when an awesome person enjoys an awesome life. Yay, you!

Caution - this is gross even for me, but the subject came up - never you mind where - recently, showing that I DO travel in some white trash circles:

If you do this to commemorate ANYTHING, you are DEFINITELY white trash. :D

Yeah. I'm NEVER doing that.

Oh shoot me now.

What John linked to was how I initially misread what you wrote, and was all, "I love you Janiece, but WTF?"

I'm glad to know I completely misread that.

And by bedazzle, do you mean with official park pins, or with rhinestones? Can we have pictures?

Yes, I read Bejazzed too and thought, it must be my mistake. I too would like to see pics - of the hat. I have a baseball cap that has all my skiing pins. I'm excited for HCSMDRSRP to begin. I know how happy Fluevogs make you, so I'm glad to hear you get to wear them. You are an amazing friend to me every day.

BEDAZZLED, PEOPLE. WITH RHINESTONES. ATTACHED TO THE HAT, NOT MY JUNK.

Jeez.

That is some funny, funny shit. Hats and hoo-hoos . . . hard to type anymore . . .

Isn't it a wonderful feeling to be loved not only in spite of your flaws, but because of them? Like Stacey, I find you to be an amazing friend every day.

And the "hat, not junk" confusion is hilarious! :D
