Making Myself Scarce

Thursday, September 9, 2010
By traveling to San Diego for for a visit with long-time friend and occasional commenter The Mechanicky Gal. We intend to indulge in rolled tacos from the local taco chop and other forms of food porn. I'm leaving in the morning, and won't be back until Monday.

I may blog. I may not. We'll see how things go. And how much I have to drink.

In the meantime, I'd like to point out that I have more business travel scheduled in the next six weeks than I had in the previous year (White Plains, Chicago and Las Vegas). Which means I'll either A) blog like a crazy person because I tend to become more organized when I'm busier or B) drop of the face of the Internet because I'm too busy working and getting on and off airplanes. Feel free to start a pool.

I'm betting that alcohol will be involved regardless of the frequency of blogging, because of the frequency of flying and how much it sucks these days.

And believe or not I alrady have a UPS rant ready to go! Janiece will be accompanying me to the customer center to pick up my anxiously awaited NEW SEWING MACHINE!
But because UPS apparently hires really stupid people, we have to pick it up.
And because UPS apparently has NO IDEA OF COMPETENCY, we have to pick it up.
I know that we will get to the center and my machine will be out on the truck for the third attempt at delivery, and since this is teh third attempt, they will send it back to sender.
It may be a HEAVY drinking day and Janiece drives.
But hey, John, what restaurant was that?
And yes cheetos are VERY Mexican!

Well, I have seen Chester Cheeto in a sombero & poncho. Si...

Yeah, not a fan of the UPSchuck company either. On more than one occassion the special instructions box sez "Please leave at front door" with the no sig required box checked - and they leave me a notice saying they require a sig and will redeliver.

Have fun, we'll see you when we see you!

Sewing machine has been retrieved. However, The Mechanicky Gal inadvertently left her driver's license at the depot and we had to go back. Doh!

Alcohol is now being consumed...

I'm jealous that you girls are having loads of fun drinking and eating without me. :(

I will, however, have the "opportunity" to spend half a day working on a 120' boom lift next Saturday, so nyah nyah... wait a minute! I won't fall for that one. Still jealous!
