How adults can encourage kids to be original thinkers. We never had to encourage Moe to be a non-conformist (far from it), and the Smart Son has also grown into an original thinker as an adult. From our perspective, the more important skill has always been to learn to be a critical thinker.

Riding side-saddle is becoming popular again. When I was a youngster, I learned to do this as part of my participation in a youth riding group, and I'm telling you - it is hard. Keeping a balanced seat when you're not square with the horse takes practice and skill.
