I Voted - Did You?

Tuesday, November 2, 2010
Today is election day here in the United States. This has been one of the most frustrating election seasons in my memory, for a variety of reasons.

But I still voted. And so should you.

When citizens allow cynicism, frustration and a sense of powerlessness to overtake them, and fail to exercise their franchise, then big money really has stolen our process and our Republic.

GO. VOTE. GO VOTE.

Yup. Did advance voting last week and have been happily ignoring the ads for a week now.

And Mrs. B - Yeah, that's today!

Anyhow, I wish I could believe today would be the end of the election crapfest in Georgia, but more than likely we'll have a runoff in the race for governor. Ugh.

I voted.

I will be SO HAPPY to be done with all the political ads and go back to the happy time when all the commercials wanted to do was sell me some crap I don't need.

I voted. Then I lectured my mother and two other veterans and made them promise me that they would exercise their goddamned franchise! Ooooooo. that makes me angry, when people don't take this shit seriously. If nothing else i told them write someone's name in (hopefully someone alive and useful)and vote on the various laws that are up for change or whatever. Sorry, getting stabby here. My apologies Janiece.

If you don't vote you don't get to bitch....kind of like not being able to boss and beg at the same time.
