Smartin' Man is on the mend after having all four of his wisdom teeth pulled on Thursday morning.
The surgery was somewhat complicated, as the cyst under one of the teeth was very close to the mandibular nerve, and Dr. Hunter had to take it out in pieces to make sure he stayed away from the nerve. Additionally, one of the upper teeth was stuck, and it took some real effort to get it out, and it resulted in a small hole to the sinus.
So Smartin' Man's jaw is pretty sore, and he's sticking with the cottage cheese-mashed potatoes-yogurt diet for the duration. Hopefully he'll feel well enough to go to work on Monday, but if not, he'll stay home and heal.

Glad it went well...and I think you just ought to plan on nursing duty continuing Monday.
The removal of wisdom teeth is far too often a mess. Glad he's doing better.

Very happy to read that Smart Man is doing well. I think, though, that he needs a bendy straw.

Glad things are going better for Smart Man.
And IIRC, straws are Right Out after getting teeth extracted. Sucking is bad for healing mouth wounds.
Unless they make a *powered* bendy straw.
But I think No Good would come of that.
I so want a powered bendy straw.

I remembered being lectured on no straws while healing after getting my teeth out.
Hope he gets another day of rest.
I've never had my wisdom teeth yanked, so I didn't know about the "no straw" rule. But yeah, a powered bendy straw would be awesome.
