Haiti and that Fucknut Pat Robertson

Thursday, January 14, 2010
First let me say that my heart goes out to the victims of Haiti's earthquake. If you'd like to donate to some decent charities providing services to those poor folks, there are links to the right that will take you directly to the donation pages of the American Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders. They're both class acts with a high percentage of donations going directly to program costs.

And now on to Pat Robertson, that embarrassment to Christians everywhere.

What an ass. What a presumptuious ass. Don't you just wish God would revert back to his old wrathful Old Testament self just long enough to strike this dickwad down in some spectacular fashion? Yeah. Me, too.

For a good analysis by a REAL Christian, check out my friend Vince's entry on the subject.

In the meantime, Pat Robertson - fuck off and die a horrible death, won't you?

I nominate him for a Darwin Award. I was reading some reader comments on the website I first read that (The Toronto Star), and giggled at the comments from a Muslim about this moron. This guy was right in saying that Robertson is part of the problem between cultures and religious communities. This fucktard has done more damage to his own belief over the years than he could ever be aware of. And every other religion is noticing. Somehow I can't help think that if more people got a chance to listen to this man's bullshit, it might actually bring religions together. Everyone might stop for a minute, laugh their asses off, and forget what all the fighting was for. Just maybe this useless piece of shoe scraping can serve a purpose after all.

Keith, that may be true, but I think I'd rather see him smote.

Here's the thing...last night I was watching one of the reports out of Haiti and they were showing an impromptu prayer meeting in some place people had chosen to gather.

I got to thinking that Good-Ole-Pat might not think they were being real Christians. They were praying in Creole -- Everyone knows God only understands English. They were very demonstrative -- Everyone knows real Christians pray with proper decorum. And they were praying in some rubble strewn lot -- God doesn't hear prayers unless they come from inside a proper church with a proper leader.

I'm not a Christian, but I'm pretty sure Pat missed most of the important points.
