Okay, not really.

But I am getting tired of feeling obligated to blog every day, whether I have anything of value to say, or not.

So from now on, I'll blog if I feel like it, and if I can't think of anything interesting to say, then I won't.

You can now commence the sighs of relief.

Heh. Welcome to my world. Hopefully you'll be better at it than I've been.

Eric, you can be replaced, you know.

In fact, I think you already have

By the way, I haven't thanked you for the jam you sent. So far I've only tried the cranberry (a type of jam I'd never tried before), and it was AWESOME. I look forward to opening the other three jars (I actually couldn't believe you sent four large jars - I was expecting just one small one).

You're welcome, Skatĉjo. I'm glad you're enjoying them.

OK!
On another note, may I ask the forum a question?
Anyone looking at the iPad?
Specifically, what kind of books can it download? Just books from the App Store, OR are there apps to sneak into the Kindle / Sony / Google libraries?
Thanks!

Oh yeah, I made 2 baked bries (Thanks Anne C.!) and used the jams you sent. MAH-velous!

Mechanicky Gal, if the iPad runs all iPhone/iPod Touch apps, there's already a free Kindle app available.

Threadjack away, y'all. I've felt stunningly uninspired of late, so it's unlikely you'll do worse than me...

That's handy to know, Steve. I am unfamiliar with the iPod World o' Apps, but thishere eelectronic book readin' thing is so intriguing! Not have to lug 5 books around with me on a vacation? You don't say! (and then, because I'm aka Thrifty Gal, having to worry that I'll lose the damn library book in another state/country... you see my interest!)

And I have a new avatar which I think sums up the situation nicely!

Ah, yes. Your retirement plaque.

We in the Navy are so classy.

And actually, along with a year's supply of Rice-A-Roni, was my lovely departing gift from the USS Emory S. Land.
I should have taken what was behind door #2.....

Please tell me you don't watch that abomination.

Please.

Back in the day it was THE BOMB!
And the only thing on during the day. We didn't have but 4 channels and no Springer or Oprah, et al.....

Janiece said...

I don't think we're talking about the same thing.

I'm referring to this foul piece of crap.

Have I mentioned my snobby Hot Cousin watches this? For some reason the dichotomy of that makes me giggle like a school girl.

The Mechanicky Gal said...

My eyes and ears, they bleed.
No, I don't watch that drek. I sort of wondered how you could be harshin' my Let's Make A Deal Buzz like that.

Janiece said...

I would never harsh your Let's Make a Deal buzz.

But I couldn't bring myself to believe that my best Navy Gal-Pal IN THE WHOLE WORLD watched Jersey Shore.

So glad I was right...

I grew up LISTENING to that accent, no WAY would I watch that. Eeeew, can you imagine how my ears hurt when I go to visit my folks? I'm taking Mechanicky Guy with me this summer. He notes that I don't talk with an accent....
Hehehe, his ears will BLEED!!!!!
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Janiece said...

Your glee at poor Mechanicky Guy's distress is a little strange. Just saying.

The Mechanicky Gal said...

There is a particularly repellent commercial on EVERY MORNING with some East Coast Transplant Woman whining on about winning money at some casino or other. Mechanicky Guy cannot believe that people actually talk that way! AND he's never been East o' the Mississippi River. AND he's going to meet Mom. AND see her Disney room.
It'll be an earth-shattering trip!

Janiece said...

MG, just make sure you get him a prescription for Xanax before you leave for points east. And he can always run away and stay here if it gets to be too much.

I find it amusing that you posted every day following this post.

But it could happen! Be prepared, people! ;)

But Anne - I didn't feel COMPELLED to post.

See how that's WILDLY DIFFERENT?
