Next, A Plague of Frogs

Wednesday, November 19, 2008
It appears that convicted felon Senator Ted Stevens has lost his bid for reelection, making a Democratic Senator the first to hold that seat in almost 30 years.

Next up for Alaska, a plague of frogs.

Honestly, I never expected Alaskans to give Uncle Ted the boot.

Strange times.

1. Go Tania!

2. Is anyone else disconcerted by the fact that early votes didn't count until *after* it was a contested race?

3. I think a rain of frogs in Alaska would be fascinating, depending upon what species of frogs well. I *think* that some types of frogs can freeze and then come back to life.

Of course if it were a plague of poisonous frogs, maybe the populace could shovel them outside the governors mansion.

1. Thanks! Go Jim too!

2. Our votes always counted. The problem is/was that in the primaries just under 30 people voted early and then voted on election day. The Division of Elections held the early votes to count later so they could confirm that nobody voted twice. That was made known to people when early voting opened.

3. Some frogs can freeze and come back! Geeks over at IAB are studying the chemistry of it.

I'm shocked and pleased, myself!
