March in Colorado

Thursday, March 26, 2009

This is the view from the basement, and is fairly typical of March in Colorado. We're supposed to get 18-24 inches by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow. Which makes it better than the storm we had a number of years ago:

Gotta love Colorado weather...

1) That amount of snow is insane.

(Obviously I've lived in SoCal for way too long, though my earliest memories are of snow in Rhode Island.)

2) I didn't realize how big a puppy Boogie is until I saw that photo. Whoa! I love big puppies!

He's a big doggie, no question.

Hell, I get that much snow in an hour.

/predicable diskhead response :)

That's a lot of snow, Janiece, even for here.

No shit, huh? That was an unusual storm, which we get about every 5 years or so. We took turns shoveling out our next-door neighbor, who was pregnant with their youngest son.

Boogie seems to have the snow under control, though.

Shades of where we grew up near Buffalo! Yikes!

We used to get snow on a regular basis from Halloween through Easter...even if Easter fell the second week of April.

And I prefer big dogs myself, although usually german shepards.

Poor doggie. The snow is too high for him to get in and frolic.
