If Boogie finishes his kibble, he gets a little treat for being such a good, good boy. And he's usually polite about asking. As you can see, his attention is FIXED on the sweet potato rawhide stick in my right hand.

Give me the treat and no one gets hurt!
If I finish my kibble, can I have a snack? Chocolate, by preference.
Next smush a Fig Newton to his nose and make him throw it up and catch it in mid air.....and LYAO when he can't because you smushed it on too hard and it won't come off!!
Welcome, JstPam.
Unfortunately, Boogie is not the brightest of dogs. Such a maneuver might just give him an aneurysm.
I just found out yesterday was National Dog Day. Unless you took yesterday off to do nothing but play with Boogie and allow him to gorge himself on treats until he passed out or threw up in the yard (and allowed him to lick it back up if he wanted) and have all the people food he could scarf up at the dinner table, he may be considering his options: A National Walkies On The National Mall, for instance, or joining one of those Treat Parties that have been springing up around the country.
Of course, I'm not saying his grievances would be legitimate. He probably thinks every day should be National Dog Day. I'm sure he doesn't understand that the time you spend on other matters helps ensure that you have money to keep him in kibble. And if he's one of those nuts who thinks the President was born in a kennel, no, you need to try to make him understand that Bo is "merely" a dog, it's one of the bipeds who walks him who's actually leader of the free world....
I thought my story would give me away and make you LOL remembering a time a long time ago (as teenagers) when we did this actual stunt at your house with poor Schultzie!
JstPam, I'm embarrassed to admit I do not remember the incident you describe, nor do I recognize you from your screen name - drop me an e:mail and reintroduce yourself?
Eric, dear, trust me...if you are owned by a dog, every day is National Dog Day!
