I think the lion wasn't interested because he was too darn lazy to sniff and wiggle!
Brenda, he did look awfully sedate...
I've seen EXACTLY the same behaviors in smaller scale right here in my living room. (Especially the rolling around in it, so you smell like 'nip. My cat's a big fan of that one.)
I would have to say yes based on the evidence... :-)
