Today the Smart Man and I will be going to see the new Coen brothers film, Burn After Reading. I love the Coen brothers, although No Country for Old Men was more than a little odd. Good, but odd. Fargo was simply the best movie evah.

"And I guess that was your accomplice in the wood chipper."

Hehe.

Later tonight, fellow UCF member Michelle and her Smart Man will be arriving here at the Parker UCF outpost. Hooray! We have big plans for tomorrow including a tour of the Coors Brewery in Golden, and then meeting fellow Hot Chick Anne at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, one of my favorite places on Planet Earth. Double Hooray! It will be Michelle's first chance to meet any of the UCF, and you know she's going to be squealing like a little girl, right alongside Anne and I. Pictures will be taken, oh, yes.

We'll keep you apprised of exciting events as they unfold!

I laughed my ass off. Seriously. Pure Coen brothers hilarity. Hee!

No, no, no: The Big Lebowski is the best movie evah.

More seriously (I mean, Lebowski really is my favorite Coens' movie, but I was just kidding about picking a fight over one brilliant Coen Bros. movie versus another brilliant Coen Bros. movie): the other night I re-watched The Man Who Wasn't There, and I have to say I liked it more the second time through. The first time I thought it was kind of a weak and confused splice of Blood Simple and The Hudsucker Proxy (no, that formula really made sense in my brain), but it does stand on its own much better than I initially thought, and the cinematography is gorgeous.

Hope Burn After Reading proves a worthy addition to the canon.

I thought we were all supposed to be pretending Michelle is sitting in her living room with a shotgun.

Did I get missed on the memo?

Crap.

I'm really hoping that WV criminals don't link here from Michelle's place to discover her absence.

Crap.

It's all good.

Anyone who is reading here would already know I was not at home. :)

Grandmom is in VA visiting my aunt, so it's just the cats, and my dad coming by to check the mail and check on the cats.

I love The Big Lebowski! It's an awesome movie. But Fargo is pretty great, too.

Did you like Burn? I'm looking forward to it - the previews look great.
