Yesterday I signed us up for Netflix. We've been thinking about it some time, and I finally just stopped being a lazy butt and got it done.
Once signed up, I began perusing the features and the available movies.
Where I discovered, to my horror, that I can watch certain things live, as streaming video to my computer. With no commercials. In high quality.
Shit.
This is not good. Not good at all.
I do have other things to do besides watch the tube, even when the tube is readily accessible and obscenely convenient. Things like working, or doing homework, or maintaining my relationships with my friends and family.
And speaking of Time-Sucking Endeavors, I have a bad feeling about the forum. You know what I'm talking about.
Yes, you do.

The forum? Are you watching Sondheim musicals?
Dammit, I'm going to have those songs going through my head for the rest of the day.
"Everybody ought to have a maid!"
::especially funny because the cleaning service is here today::
Heheh. Well, the forum can't possibly be worse than the mail ...
The forum, it wants to eat your time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Time suck ahoy.
I'm thinking I need to write an entire short story in the voice of a psychotic separatist. (This has no relationship to this thread, except as pertains to the time suck subject matter.)
Uh yeah, see I have even less time today than I thought and I'd have commented earlier, except I was on the forum...
...or at least trying. See, my internet service provider - Henceforth referred to as "those unnamed bastards" and you know who I mean - keep dropping service in my area. Email, bandwidth, servers. Me thinks the hoard, hoard, or reporters swarming over Wasilla is sucking up my bandwidth. Every phonecall today took three tries, and twice I got "all lines busy" out of Alaska.
Killing, I'm thinking about killing something, in a messy fashion.
Something For Everyone!!
For a second there, Tania, I thought you were going to Rickroll us.
Not having time to sit around and watch movies is one of the reasons we haven't gone with Netflix yet. Having a two-year-old certainly doesn't help in the time department.
Hey, does anyone want to borrow a two-year-old for a while? You know, just a year or two.
