Irony

Today my Girl Scout Cookies arrived from the Incomparable Kate™ and her lovely daughter.

Hmm...cookies.

Today also brought my nifty new pedometer, which I bought to take part in a pedometer challenge among my blog-circle, the UCF. We're trying to get our lazy butts up off the couch and increase our health and activity.

Exercise...bummer, dude.

My life is apparently short on irony.

Did you buy THAT MANY boxes of cookies? Then I guess that 10-thousand-some-odd steps had BETTER be what your pedometer registered in, oh say the first HOUR of your recieving it and said cookies?????
Just axin' and all. Not that I'm implying there is some sloth at the Yellow House. No, not me. I KNOW how fond of exercise you are. Yep, just IN LOVE with it. Uh-huh. You betcha!

Not that I'm saying that you ATE the whole array of cookies.... I am sure that a mere 1 or 2 were indulged.... and the rest stashed away for us all to find when you have jury duty again?????

My pedometer came today too. So now it's on.

::Shawn secretly tapes his pedometer to the paint shaker at Home Depot::

I'll confess now, I've got 5 boxes coming from my favorite GS cookie dealer...

No, not quite that many. We ordered three Thin Mints, two Short Bread and one Tagalong.

Three of those will go in the sooper-sekrit freezer.

And Amy, I have no idea what you're talking about. None.

Shawn, I wish I'd thought of that...

Bring it along when you come out! We'll put some steps on that thing!

Oh, I just will NOT have you roll any stumps, though.....

I will KNOW if you CHEAT and there WILL BE HELL TO PAY!

Michelle will know because she has sooper-sekrit powers.

I do!

I'm telepathetic!

Ya know, I now have the Alanis Morissette song "Ironic" earworming it's way through my brain.

Thanks.

Thanks a lot.

PS You have excellent taste in Girl Scout cookies.

Considering that I have so far restrained myself from joining the pedometer crowd, I don't feel like I should even consider buying GS cookies.
