This year for Valentine's Day, my Smart Man and I decided to exchange geeky gifts.

This is a Canon MP970, my gift from my Smart Man. I wanted a scanner, and decided it would just be so much cooler to have a Ginsu knife kind of apparatus. It slices! It dices! It prints! It scans! It smacks evangelicals upside the head!

Okay, I'm just kidding about that last part. Unfortunately.

My Smart Man wanted a new LogiTech keyboard and mouse, and a new [place pinky on the corner of your mouth] one billion Gig hard drive. Okay, I'm probably exaggerating about the hard drive. But not by much.

We'll be going to dinner tonight without the Smart Boy, and that'll be about it for our Valentine's celebration.

What are your plans?

We'll spend it pretending it doesn't exist.

HA!

You guys are geeky gift-givers after my own heart. :)

We're doing nothing tonight but packing... but Saturday night in Vegas we'll set the kids up with buffet money and video games in the room and go out on the town. We're not all that exciting nor drinkers/clubbers, it'll probably be dinner and a comedy show.

Then - non Valentine's - I have a spa day scheduled Monday. :D

I don't even gamble - but I always enjoy the sights and hedonism of Vegas.

Jeri, if you guys get a chance, go see "KA" at the MGM Grand. It was, without question, the best entertainment money we have ever spent. Simply spectacular.

I don't think we're doing anything special, but I did receive a beautiful pair of citrine earrings I've had my eye on for a while.

Because flowers die, but jewelry is forever.

I've got a Canon Pixma something-or-other which I really like. It prints, scans, copies, and also does slides and film negatives.

MWT, so far I really like mine, too. It's also a PIXMA.

cindy,

No offense, but I'd much rather have flowers than jewelry.

I love having fresh flowers around my house all year long.

Jewelry I have little use for, unless it's a watch.

My sister and BIL invited me over for dinner. I'm really looking forward to it, 'cause BIL is a stellar cook. Plus, spending time with people who love me and are not shy about expressing it is a much needed balm for the soul. :)
No prezzies, except for the wine I'm taking to the dinner -- two reds and an Asti for dessert.

michelle k,

None taken, and you know, one of my friends gave me a subscription to a bulb garden for Christmas, and it is so cool. I get a pot of flowers every month until spring, and once the ground thaws, I can plant them outside.

Love!
