This week, Boogie has decided to give up his weekly spotlight to a Sheltie named Dare, pictured at right.
Dare only has two legs - a front and a back leg on the right side. He lost the other two in his early weeks as a puppy mill puppy, and he was subsequently rescued by Colorado Sheltie Rescue. Adopted by Tami Skinner, they're now an animal-therapy team with the American Humane Association. They spend their days visiting a variety of facilities, and young Dare is a big hit everywhere they go.
Dare is a good, good boy.

That's awesome -- does he run/get around OK? He looks mid-stride in the photo.
Very cool.
Uh yeah, nevermind my question. I actually clicked the link. DUH. :)
He's definitely a pretty dog!
Animals never cease to amaze me, they're so adaptable!!
And humans have been known to whine over a paper cut.
Dare is one cool pooch! Nice that he's doing therapy work too.

I love dogs. They are such positive creatures.
What a good, good doggie! :)
Well, that outdoes Ghost, the somewhat maniacal three legged cat i live with. So i had better make sure she doesn't learn of Dare...
"Oh yeah? I bet I could get by with one..."
The main problem being, she's liable to test it on me first, she is a cat after all.
(Kidding of course, of all the cats i have lived with she has the most excuse to be mean, so of course she is a sweetie. And besides, i have hidden the chainsaws.)
What a gorgeous puppy! (To me, all dogs are puppies.)
Reminds me of a dog I saw at an adoption fair that I wish I could've gotten. His name was Lucky and he was missing his two back legs, so he got around via cart. Sweetest, happiest mutt you ever did meet.
