Four Dimensional Pancakes

Sunday, March 2, 2008

These are four dimensional pancakes, which I made for breakfast yesterday morning.

They're called four dimensional pancakes because they're big in all three dimensions, plus they stick with you a long, long, time.

I am apparently incapable of making a small pancake, so one is all you get.

I'm going back on Weight Watchers Monday, so I wanted to have one before "going back on the wagon." Each one of these suckers is worth about 18 points, so they're definitely off the menu when I'm on the program.

But they rule smothered in homemade Apple Butter.

"Portion Control" is completely absent from my repertoire.

Nathan, it's been absent from my repertoire lately, too. Hence the need to get back on the program.

Michelle, these were made from a mix, but usually I just follow the Betty Crocker one.

The Pancakes Of Usual Size (POUS's) come from the fact that I use a small frying pan and completely cover the bottom for each one. Usually two full ladles of batter.

Those look awesome!

Someday I want to learn how to make a german pancake, a "Dutch Baby" type.

Best wishes with the Weight Watcher's routine. :P

Pancakes of (Un)Usual Size. There's a reference I recognize.

Those are literally Pan Cakes!

I'm portion challenged, too. I figure I'll make 2 burgers, and save one for later, then eat them both. Intentions and follow-through don't match.

Good luck with WW.

Mmm, groat cakes, don't forget to use your entrenching tool to eat them.

Yum yum. And apple butter. Now I'm hungry.

Stay tuned for an Apple Butter related post later this morning...

Hmmm...Apple Butter.

Groat cakes require syrup of squill.
