Tasty Treats

Thursday, March 20, 2008

I received a box in the mail yesterday from Random Michelle. You may recall that she and her Gram were the winners of one of the jars of my Apple Butter earlier this month.

As a "thank you," she sent me this bag of Chocolate Walnut Biscotti. She even included the ingredients on the bag so I could calculate my Weight Watchers points!

I may share with my Smart Man. But don't count on it.

I've got to admit - when I first saw the photo, I though Michelle had sent you a big bag of dope. Hey, she said her gram was cool...

Now I want chocolate walnut biscotti, which is weird because I've never gotten the munchies from a blog post before :)

Thanks, Janiece, the package arrived yesterday - and if I hadn't stopped him, my son would have attacked the jars with a spoon and not stopped until there was nothing left but a sticky residue. I let him have some this morning on cinnamon raisin toast - and yeah, I had some too. Most excellent.

Maybe it's dope-laced Chocolate Walnut Biscotti!

I'm glad you're enjoying the Apple Butter.

This food exchange program sounds like fun. I'll have to come up with an offering myself.

Now I have to get a towel for the puddle of drool that the mere mention of Chocolate Walnut Biscotti has produced...

Anne, they're frozen, since I can't have them very often right now. If you're real nice to me, I'll bring you a couple the next time we meet for lunch.

I can post the recipe if anyone is interested.

They're easier than you'd think.

Michelle, you're ruining my Tasty Treat Gloating with your generous offer to "share."

Jeez.

Please, Michelle, post the recipe! I've had homemade biscotti once and it was wonderful.

Hmmmm... food sharing. I may need to come up with an offering too! (My apple butter was frozen, not canned, so it wouldn't work.)

Janiece,

Foods are *always* better when they are made by someone else!

You get all the enjoyment and none of the work!

Plus, *you* get that extra special Michelle touch, and the knowledge I have nothing but good ingredients at my house. ;)

Yeah, Michelle, post the recipe please.

Done.

I expect everyone's opinions before the end of the week. ;)
