Weight Watchers - Week 1

Saturday, June 27, 2009
Today was my second Weight Watcher's meeting, and my weigh-in revealed that I lost 3.2 pounds. Yay, me! (Disclaimer: I wore jeans last week, and shorts this week, so some of that might have been fabric. Just trying to be honest, here.) The meeting was fun, and I got some more ideas on how to serve vegetables so that the entire family (including me) doesn't make the Calvin face when they appear on our plates:

The first week wasn't that bad, and I'm having little trouble sticking with the program. Several weeks from now, I may feel differently, but for now, it's all good.

I don't plan on blogging about this very frequently, as my losing 60 pounds really isn't interesting to anyone except me. I'll be posting my progress on the sidebar, though, as part of my accountability plan.

We now return to our regularly scheduled Saturday.

Sorry, it *is* interesting to us, because it's important to you.

Also, if you know you have to write about it once a week, that may help keep you on track. "Ice cream sundae or writing about losing two pounds? Hmmm..."

:)

Michelle, if you're really curious, you can check out my progress on the side bar. I'll be updating it weekly.

Week one's meeting: Blue Jeans

Week two's meeting: shorts

Week three's meeting: a thong.

I'm just trying to be helpful.

I would have to agree to its being interesting to us and do very much appreciate the sidebar accountability project.

Yeah, Janiece - and it is interesting to me, as well, so I look forward to the sidebar updates!

Good for you!

I lost 65 pounds a while ago, and just passed my one-year maintenance mark. It is still something I have to work at, but I can tell you that it IS do-able.

I'll post periodically, and maintain the sidebar - but I'm not going to post every Saturday. Doing so would bore even me, I think, and I'm intensely interested in the outcome.

Megan, I remember you mentioning that. Did you use a program like WW, or something less structured?

Good luck with the loosing weight. I'm currently bouncing at 300, although the movement around it is getting smaller. I'm hoping this is a sign that I'm about to break on through.

Megan, that awesome

I'm in agreement that if it's important to you, it's important to us, but also understand it gets a bit old to talk about as well as it seems the entire day is consumed with thinking about what I'm eating now, what I can eat later, and did I leave enough points for a dinner that will get me through to tomorrow.

WW becomes easier as you are able to identify points on the fly. At first, it was easier to repeat than invent, but their website has some delicious recipes that are helpful and my family even ate them.

Call me if you need support - been there.
