Today is a thunder-go-boom, rainy-rainy day here in Parker, Colorado, so before it started pouring again, I darted outside to take this picture of my Peony, now that it's finally blooming.
On a completely unrelated note, I am feeling profoundly unmotivated in both my work and school lately. I'm having to force myself to get busy and be productive. I hate this feeling, so I need to find out what the problem is and get it fixed.
Perhaps a massage...

Dunno if this helps, but I thought of a new sound effect for you. Since the Shovel of Doom might not be protable enough to keep the geeks at bay at Denvention, oyu might want to bring along a portable version:
*TING*
That's the sound of the Entrenching Tool of Doom connecting with a miscreant. Probably in the region of the 'nads.
John, it may not motivate me, but it made me chuckle.
"The Entrenching Tool of Doom."
Hehe.
Please a close-up of the peony. Mine decided to grow back after last year's scorching SoCa sun fried it to a crisp. They like sun! Apparently just not that much sun.
At any rate, mine is back, it's growing, I have a plan for a little sun shade for it, and close-up of yours will encourage mine to do well!
FLOWER PR0N!
Very healthy, green looking leaves!
Mine is now in the petal-less kinda pathetic looking stage.
Especially since once again Michael managed to clip a stem with the weed eater.
I don't have a solution for your malaise - but I know how it feels. It's the ebola projects - combined with everything else you are doing and managing in your life, they can suck the life force from you, and you probably just need to find a way to replenish yourself. Not just once, but on an ongoing basis.
(Please, don't go preying on some helpless bystander, that whole psychic vampire thing is hell on the karma.)
For what it's worth, I'm behind you - we're all supporting you! Go get that massage - and add a pedicure, a date weekend and an afternoon at the bookstore. :)
Jeri, I won't turn into a psychic vampire. But here's my favorite new line for the life force-suckers in my life:
"You...deplete me."
