Technical Difficulties - Updated

For some reason, my blog is not currently accessible using Internet Explorer. Firefox appears to be having no trouble.

I've reported the trouble to Blogger, but I don't know how long it will continue.

Updated 8/2/2008 9:20 AM: Things appear to be back to normal. But I've decided to stick with Firefox.

John the Scientist noted that IE was crashing when he visited my blog. I'm not even sure I still have IE. I use Firefox almost exclusively. Every once in a while, I'll use Safari, but that's pretty rare.

Good choice.

Just wait till you check out some of the extensions. You load up IE tab and you'll almost never need to open IE.

And then there's my favorite, L337 Key. That does the on-the-flt Rot 13 translations for me.

And of course forecastfox gives you weather updates in your menu bar...

Yeah, yours and Nathan's, but not mine and Jim's or Eric's. I assume it was a Blogger problem, and dependent on which server your blog is stored on.

I'm not supposed to download software on the company computer without IT's permission, but I downloaded Firefox today. I'll tell IT about it on Monday, but why we use IE as the default browser is beyond me for security and pop-up issues alone. If brains were dynamite, our IT department would not have the powder to blow it's collective nose.

Appears to have been a Sitemeter issue. I use Statcounter, and Jim uses the Secret UEU Monitoring Device. Eric appears not to use anything at all.

We use IE because we require it for some browser-based java-enabled applications the company uses - Kronos Timekeeper, LiveMeeting, and Mercury Test Center are two that spring to mind. Often they work in Firefox, but the results are unpredictable, so we officially don't support them.

My test plans always include IE 6 & 7, Firefox & Safari for Mac & PC. And sadly, geekily, enough, I can test them all myself from one box.
